The point in the Dakar where I get most nervous is always scrutineering. Anything can go wrong, a regulation that has changed, a piece of equipment that has expired or some obscure bit that is vitally necessary to be present and has to be fetched in a rush in a foreign country where no one speaks your language. Luckily all 7 buggies have passed this test and are safely tucked in to the park fermer. All is left to do is enjoy the hassle and bustle of the Buenos Aires Night life and passing of the New Year.
